Road Mangler Deluxe Reviews

One of the funniest, if not the most honest, memoirs of life on the rock and roll highway by a man who did it all. He is no saint, but he is a fun sinner. No one will be disappointed by this book. It rambles, it goes back and forth in the rock and roll time line, and if you give it chance you will find yourself laughing at the narcissism of and the self depreciation of others. Kaufman even gives the inside scoop of the illegal cremation of Graham Parson. When written by others it is becomes a black travesty on mourning. But written by Phil Kaufman it is anything but. If you can comfortably smoke a joint or have a drink of scotch while reading I suggest you do so. It only makes the laughter come out less inhibited.

Gram Parsons, The Rolling Stones, Emmylou - Phil Kaufman knew them all and on top of that he tried to grant Gram's wish for after he died. If you are a fan of Parsons, you definitely need to read this guys book.

It's very easy to read, very entertaining, and you have to wonder how this guy has managed to live so long and so much. I had never heard of Phil Kaufman until I saw the movie "Grand Theft Parsons." I am a Gram Parsons music fan, but never knew his body was "liberated" and burned in Joshua Tree, CA. Thinking this can't be true, I researched on the internet, found this book and decided to check it out.
