L Is for Lobster: A Maine Alphabet (Discover America State by State) Reviews
"L is for Lobster" is a wonderful book with great illustrations. I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a good children's book related to Maine. I bought this book because I live in Maine and as a preschool teacher an "I Live in Maine" theme has been, and will continue to be, a theme that is incorporated into the curriculum. Along with a simple description of each letter of the alphabet, there is also a more detailed description. I like the option of reading the simple descriptions or being able to go into more detail.
My husband and I are both from Maine but moved away. I purchased this a few years ago to help educate my son about where his family is from. I just love this book. At three and a half, he enjoys the letter and rhyme on each page. The pictures are very nice as well. It will be in his reading roation for a while since it also gives further information / history / interesting facts on each page in addition to the letter and rhyme. This info and way it is written is geared towards an older child. The only thing I don't care for is that some of the rhymes are awkward and don't flow well.
My son loves this book! Definitely in our reading rotation permanently now!
Beautiful book. Once our daughter is old enough for books with pages (instead of board books) we'll get more in the series!
Bought for my little girl to remember our Maine vacation. This is great for little children and very infomative for older kids too.
Cute book. Delivered quickly
