Extreme Pumpkin Carving, Second Edition Revised and Expanded: 20 Amazing Designs from Frightful to Fabulous Reviews
This book is great and provides numerous examples for carving pumpkins. I highly recommend it and suggest you consider carving up a face. To help one get started it has an example of carving a pumpkin face and it beaks it down into 87 steps & pictures of to do it. The rest of the book is full of faces you could carve. Enjoy
Doesn't really show you how to carve the pumpkins. There are step by step pictures but if you aren't a skilled artist or pumpkin Carver don't bother with this book
Lots of great ideas. Mostly way too complicated for me as a beginning carver, but lots of great detail went into explaining the basic ideas.
While it's nice to have a book you can flip through to see the close up photos of these carvings, it doesn't provide the tools to really learn that a video offers. I didn't find the book that helpful for this reason. I would recommend videos for pumpkin carving over books any day.
Decent book. Gives you some good tips for carving faces. Overall found it a bit uninspired. Way too many pumpkins carved with bearded faces. One or two would have been quite enough. I would have liked to see more variety in the sample carvings.
