The First Book of Soprano Solos Reviews
I am a music major and this was an awesome book to help begin my library. As a college student my library is still very small. However, this book had a lot of variety and helped build my repertoire for this semester. Songs from a lot of different time eras, a lot of stylistic choices, and something that I can use when teaching later on. I definitely recommend investing in this book.
I am sure the book is fine, but it was supposed to include 2 Accompaniment CDs and there is no evidence they were ever inserted (book is in pristine condition with no glue marks and no page pulled out). I've sent an email to Hal Leonard and I will update this review once the issue is resolved. I'm concerned that a batch of these books may not have the CDs and if I return it and get another one, I'll just have the same problem.
Good book. I use it for teaching. Lots of styles are represented.
now I don't have to look over the shoulder of my voice teacher. and when I audition for paid positions, I will have a few pieces. Especially like that some of these songs are in German, which is often requested for auditions..
As promised. Thank you.
My daughter needed it for school
Love the book. Love the songs. Would have given 5 stars, but unfortunately, it was advertised as having 2 CDs but only came with 1. :(
Excellent product and service!
