Introduction to Environmental Remote Sensing Reviews
I have given this only 3 stars because the information is dated. However, I think this is still a good "first book" to introduce the reader to remote sensing. This book does an amazing job of explaining the issues without resorting to prior experience or background. Having said that, if the reader has one or two semesters of lower division physics under their belt, they will get more out of it.
