When you sit down to read this book with your child make sure you have a red or any other color "squiggle" of your own in your pocket or close by so that once you are done so you too can imagine wonderful objects and things with your squiggle!

We bought this book for book club for our first grader. The kids really liked it and it opened up a great discussion about seeing things differently than others and how perspective and imagination work. It was an easy to read story for 6-7 yr old. Also it was beautifully illustrated, they kids are still raving about the drawings in the squiggle. Also this book serves as a great opportunity to introduce Chinese and Asian cultural aspects.

I use this a vocal exploration with Kindergarteners. Such a cute story with a lot of squiggly pictures for their voices to follow.
