I Can Help: A Picture Book Reviews
This is my toddlers favorite book and I love that it has a meaningful story. My toddler doesn’t like too much going on a page (words and pics) and this book is perfect!
My 2 yr old LOVES this book. Great choice. Cute and introduces the idea of helping others.
Toddler loves it.
Wonderful circle story for children to participate in the reading.
Twenty-monthold loves this book and has since we first heard it in library story time. He was thrilled when he saw he had a copy all his own!
We checked this out of the library and my toddler couldn't get enough of it. We purchased it online for a bargain $5 or so. I would pay much more for it. Pages are thin so make sure your toddler is pass or about to pass the board-thick-pages stage. The story is quite simple which means it's easier for toddlers to follow and it requires parental involvement to point out feelings or items in the picture similar to Good Night Gorilla. Most of all, I love that it shows animals helping each other!
I ADORE this book and so does my 22 month old. Wonderful message that everyone needs help sometimes, and everyone can give help sometimes - a beautiful introduction to the idea of true community. The illustrations are appealing and the words perfectly simple. By the third reading my daughter was already anticipating the words and chiming in. I'll happily read it as many times as she likes.
I'm an SLP and have found that this book has illustrations that are easy to follow, simple story and great for learning sequence. I add little plastic animals so kids can also match up.
