PARENTING Guide to Positive Discipline Reviews
I don't agree 100% with all suggestions but the book is well written with take-always and specific how-to's on dealing with toddlers and preschoolers. When my son hit 18m and we all the sudden had to discipline my husband and I wanted a common approach. This book helped us with just that!
While much of this book is obvious, there are quite a few gems which make it worth while.
A very concise and easy to read book which covers the basics of establishing effective discipline. It is specifically written for parents of young children up to the age of six. It answers so many of the common questions regarding discipline that parents have, and lists several common parenting traps. Advice is given to prevent discipline problems from manifesting and gives specific advice for many of the common discipline situations.
I thought this was a good book to cover the basics of positive parenting. Good reminders with examples that were helpful. There were a few things I didn't totally agree with for babies but no parenting book lined up perfectly with everyone's style. Overall I would say it was a quick read and helpful.
