The War in Iraq: A Photo History Reviews
I wanted this book because that is our dear friend Ivan Dominguez on the front cover. The imbedded photographer got such a great shot of him while he was on patrol. This book was in great condition. Amazing photography and I appreciate the service of the men and women in the US Armed Forces... especially this great Marine - Ivan.
My picture is in this book so I had to buy it. Great buy brings back some memories of the initial invasion back when the Iraqis loved us for liberating them. Towards the end of my 2003 tour I could see the mood of the people was changing. pictures are worth more than words and this book has only pictures.
The pictures were interesting but I didnot know it was primarily a picture book. I know someone wh served in Iraq and would have liked more written information
Excellent deal. The book was great. The book was just what I was looking for. The condition was just as discribed. Thanks.
This could be a first: a 'history' of a war that's still being fought, thougtfully released before the end of 2003. Of course, the end of 'major' combat was announced in May 2003 (during the president's impressive photo op), so it's safe to declare the 'war' over and proceed with this coffee table book.
This is essentially a photo album of Operation Iraqi Freedom which again proves the old adage, a picture is worth a thousand words. It dispenses with text and allows the reader to visually
The reason I bought this book is because there was a picture of me holding my daughter in it. The picture was very clear and I wanted to keep it as a keep sake for her of her mom before leaving Iraq. She loves it.
